Why are some Iris so expensive?
A new Iris offered to the public for the first time is called a New Introduction. New introductions are priced at $65.00 or more the first year as there is a limited supply of these exclusive cultivars. In successive years, there are more plants available so the price goes down. The price of an Iris is based on supply and demand.
Schreiner's Gardens offers a low-Nitrogen fertilizer specially formulated for growing Iris. Apply one month before and one month after bloom.
