Bloom Season

Schreiner’s Gardens is one of the wonders of the flower world - and it’s right in our backyard here in Salem, Oregon. Bloom Season at Schreiner's Gardens promises a rich experience for flower enthusiasts and families alike. Visitors can explore extensive iris fields, display gardens, a cut flower show, as well as make purchases such as potted iris, iris bouquets, and gift shop items. Enjoy special events such as Family Day, our Artist Fair, and our Golden Hour Events!

Frequently Asked Questions

May 1-May 31, 2026. Our gardens will be open daily from 9AM to 6PM. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or save by purchasing your tickets online in advance. Join us as we celebrate 100 years of iris beauty!

We are located in Salem, Oregon, just a short drive from Portland at the Willamette Valley wine country.

  • Weekday Tickets (online): $6 per person
  • Weekday Tickets (at the door): $8 per person
  • Weekend Tickets (online): $10 per person
  • Weekend Tickets (at the door): $12 per person
  • Early Bird Admission (7-9AM): $10 per person
  • Season Pass: $38 per person for unlimited visits May 1-May 31st, 2026.
  • Children 12 and younger: Free

Yes, we have a number of picnic tables onsite for visitors to enjoy. Please note that we do not reserve tables.

Artists and photographers are welcome to capture the beauty of the garden. Early Bird tickets (7-9am) are perfect for beautiful morning light and fewer crowds.

Drones are not permitted on our property.

Leashed dogs are welcome in the gardens. Please pick up after your pet and keep the space enjoyable for all guests.

Parking is included with your ticket purchase to Bloom Season. Our parking attendants ensure a smooth experience upon arrival.

  • Our Gift Shop and Flower Show are located on flat, paved surfaces.
  • The Display Garden paths are grass-covered and may be uneven in places.

Our Gift Shop offers:

  • Potted irises and alliums (while supplies last).
  • Freshly cut iris stems (bundles can also be purchased without needing to enter the Display Garden).
  • Limited-edition Centennial collectibles.
  • Garden decor, tools, gifts for gardeners and Schreiner's Gardens merchandise.
  • Iris Rhizomes: Though our iris rhizomes are still in the midst of their growth process during Bloom Season, you can order rhizomes while you visit. We freshly dig and divide orders during our harvest season (July - September).
  • Daylily Tubers:
  • Potted Plants: potted irises and alliums will be available (while supplies last).
  • Lupine seeds.
  • Freshly cut iris stems (bundles can also be purchased without needing to enter the Display Garden).

On weekends, we will host local food vendors who offer a variety of delicious options. We also invite local wineries, cideries and distillers.

Though it can depend on the growing season, for peak bloom, we advise visiting towards the middle or end of the month. Each year is a little different according to mother nature. Look out for Bloom Season updates on our Facebook or Instagram accounts or visit this page for more updates.

The Artist Fair will take place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25th, 2026), featuring local artists showcasing their work in various mediums.

Our annual Family Day will feature:

  • Special color pages for children.
  • Face painting (10am-3pm)
  • Family-friendly fun for all ages!
